So...what can make a nebula appear to be square. The answer is not likely to appear in the near future, but that does not take away from it's unimaginable beauty. The image was taken with combined infrared exposures from the Hale Telescope on MT. Palomar in California, and the Keck-2 Telescope on Mauna Kea in Hawaii. However you see it or Wherever you see it you began to realize how minuscule you are in comparison to space and time. Peace & Love
